Stop firefox from exiting full screen on pressing escape

A while ago I got a new macbook, and installed firefox again. But I quickly ran into the issue where if you press escape, it closes the fullscreen. Which to me is an insane default, as I might press escape to try and close a modal for example.
Thankfully the fix is pretty easy. Just go to about:config
(put it in the address bar).
You might have to press an Accept the risk and continue
button.
In the search bar, search for browser.fullscreen.exit_on_escape
, and set it to false (press the button on the right).
Now you can press escape to your hearts content, without closing the full screen.
